How can newsroom leaders embrace AI without compromising trust, transparency, and job security? This panel will explore strategies employed by forward-thinking newsroom leaders to introduce AI tools responsibly, foster an environment of collaboration, and address fears of job displacement. Through real-world case studies, panelists will discuss how they’ve reshaped workflows, upskilled teams, and maintained ethical standards, ensuring AI serves as an ally to journalists, not a replacement.
The panel will include brief opening remarks by the moderator, followed by 5-minute presentations from each panelist sharing their unique experiences. The session will transition into a moderated discussion, focusing on actionable insights and best practices. It will conclude with an audience Q&A to address practical challenges and opportunities.
Moderated by Lwazi Maseko.
