Over the past 18 months, Forensic Architecture (FA) has been documenting in different ways Israel's war on Gaza. On the spectrum of utility, there is the sentient act of raising awareness in a challenging economy of attention. There is also the legalistic act of providing evidence that has the radical hope of bringing justice. In this conversation, we will dissect some of the work produced by FA on the latest war in Gaza, and discuss what they aspire to do with it.

Nour Abuzaid
Nour Abuzaid is Senior Researcher at Forensic Architecture where she conducts spatial research and creates computational tools for automation and visualisation. In her role as MENA liaison, she teaches FA research methodologies to collaborators in the region. She works on developing publicly accessible (web-based) research tools to disseminate to non-expert actors on the ground and support grassroots activism. She completed an M.Sc. in Architectural Design at Istanbul Technical University. Her thesis was based on developing a multi-authorial computational system for simulating the bottom-up urban growth processes of the Old City of Damascus. Before joining Forensic Architecture, Nour worked as an architect in Istanbul.
Lina Attalah
Lina Attalah is the publisher of Mada Masr, a Cairo-based news website. She has been a journalist for over a decade, covering primarily Egypt and the region, including the Syrian revolution, the 2013 Iran presidential elections and the Darfur conflict in Sudan. She was previously the chief editor of Egypt Independent, another Egyptian leading English-language news media.
