Noreen Gillespie is the journalism director in Microsoft’s Democracy Forward program, which seeks to preserve, protect and advance democratic ideals. She oversees partnerships and collaborations that help restore trust, reduce risk and rebuild capacity for news organizations to thrive and contribute to healthy information ecosystems. She is a veteran newsroom manager, and spent more than two decades managing breaking news at The Associated Press, where she directed sports, U.S. news, and global business coverage and worked on ways the organization could support local news organizations.
Jennifer Robillard
Jennifer Robillard is Director of News Audience Initiatives for McClatchy, a news organization of 30 sites that includes The Miami Herald, The Kansas City Star and The Sacramento Bee. She has worked in newsrooms both big and small since 2005, running audience and reporting teams with a focus on connecting with readers in new ways. At McClatchy, she is a leader in audience engagement strategies and AI as a tool for journalists, and oversees the company’s audience, service journalism, newsletter and multimedia strategies.
