Robert K. Elder is the President & CEO of Outrider Foundation, which supports multimedia storytelling and journalism about climate change and nuclear threats. Outrider’s fellowship program includes journalists at The New York Times, Time magazine, public radio’s Science Friday and InsideClimate News. Outrider has also partnered with the Associated Press on a project called “The New Nuclear Landscape,” which includes enterprise and investigative coverage about nuclear security issues. Elder is the author or editor of more than twenty five books, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Paris Review, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Salon.com, and many other publications.

Mitali Mukherjee

Mitali Mukherjee is Director of the Journalist Programmes at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. She is a political economy journalist with more than two decades of experience in TV, print and digital journalism. She was a Chevening fellow for the South Asia Journalism Fellowship 2020, a Raisina Asian Forum for Global Governance Young Fellow 2019 and a 2017 fellow of the Australia India Youth Dialogue. In 2020, she was nominated for the prestigious Red Ink Awards in India for two of her business stories. Over the course of her journalistic career, Mitali has been Consulting Business Editor at The Wire and Mint. Prior to that she was Markets Editor at CNBC TV 18 and Prime Time Anchor at TV Today and Doordarshan. She has been a Fellow at The Observer Research Foundation (ORF) where she led Gender Initiatives for the organisation. Marina Pravdić is Director of Operations for Communications, Policy, and Advocacy at The Rockefeller Foundation. Marina has extensive experience in the field and prior to her time at The Rockefeller Foundation oversaw the work of regional offices in Europe for the Open Society Foundations. She has also worked with Human Rights Watch in New York, Brussels, and Berlin. Marina holds a Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College and a Master's degree in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Nina Sachdev

Nina Sachdev brings more than 20 years of journalism, news editing and marketing experience to her role as a communications director for Media Impact Funders (MIF). Nina served as MIF’s communications director for more than five years before joining the Rita Allen Foundation to lead communications there. After a brief stint, Nina re-joined MIF in February 2022. Nina cut her teeth in journalism at The Dallas Morning News, where—as an intern on the copy desk—she was tasked with editing the obituaries of famous people who hadn’t yet died. Since then, Nina has worked at The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, The Philadelphia Daily News and The Philadelphia Weekly in almost every editorial capacity imaginable, including senior editor, A1 editor (when that used to be a thing) and slot (does anyone remember that being a thing?).
