With more than 1,000 days of full-scale war in Ukraine, the largest war in Europe this century, media outlets face the growing challenge of 'Ukraine fatigue'—a decline in audience engagement and coverage priority. This panel will explore innovative strategies to sustain global focus, humanize stories, navigate oversaturation, and ensure ethical, impactful journalism that keeps Ukraine at the forefront of international attention.

Alicia Alamillos
Alicia Alamillos is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Desk at El Confidencial, one of Spain’s leading media outlets. With over ten years of experience in international journalism, she has reported on major global crises, including Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. As a special envoy, she has extensively reported from the ground, covering military, social, and economic aspects of the conflict on the frontline. Previously, Alicia was a Middle East and North Africa correspondent based in Egypt, reporting on terrorism, radicalization, and migration issues; and a Sub-Saharan Africa correspondent in Kenya for the Spanish news agency EFE, with a special focus on the Horn of Africa. Her expertise spans conflict reporting, EU affairs, and geostrategic analysis. In her work, she tries to explain the implications of current events in a broader approach.
Sonia Delesalle-Stolper
Sonia Delesalle-Stolper is Chief Foreign Editor of the French daily Libération. She began her career at the Paris headquarters of the French news agency, Agence France Presse (AFP). In January 1996, she was posted in London as a foreign correspondent for AFP. From 2002, she went on to work as a freelancer for several French publications, radio stations and TV networks, including Le Figaro, L’Express, Politique Internationale and TF1. In 2009, she became UK and Ireland correspondent for Libération. In her 25 years in the UK, she covered Tony Blair’s three premierships, the Northern Irish Peace Process, the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death, the 2005 London bombings, the return to power of the conservatives, the 2012 Olympic games, and, of course, Brexit and the death of Queen Elizabeth II. In her time there, she also regularly intervened in UK media commenting on Anglo-French relations including op-eds for The Observer, The Guardian and The Independent. She also commented on French politics for the BBC and Sky News. In January 2021, she returned to Paris becoming Deputy Chief Editor at Libération, as well as Chief Foreign Editor. In addition to French, English and Russian, Sonia is also fluent in German and speaks basic Spanish.
Zoya Krasovska
Zoya Krasovska is a media analyst working for NGOs Lviv Media Forum and Women in Media, as well as for the international training programme Media Development in a Democratic Framework as a National Facilitator in Ukraine. With a background in journalism and 15 years of experience in media, her main focus is on researching the media landscape, conducting content analysis, and strengthening media literacy. Zoya has been involved in researching on countering Russian propaganda narratives about Ukraine in Western media, assessing the needs of Ukrainian local media during wartime, producing content to counter disinformation for Ukrainian media outlets, and addressing the situation of women journalists and other women media workers in Ukraine.
