Sam Cole is reporting from the farthest reaches of the internet. She recently co-founded 404 Media, an independent digital media company exploring the ways technology is shaping our world. She was previously a senior editor for Motherboard, Vice's science and technology outlet, and has worked as a journalist for over a decade at outlets including Popular Science, Fast Company, and Al Jazeera.
