David Castello-Lopes

David Castello-Lopes is a journalist and comedian who has been touring for the past two years in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Canada with Authentique, a one-man show. He is the former head of video and visual journalism at Le Monde. He also worked at Canal+ for 10 years. There he produced Depuis Quand (Since When), a mix of reportage, skits and songs, in which he travelled the world to meet inventors. Nowadays, he is a contributor to Arte, with a segment called Intéressant (Interesting) in which he answers apparently futile questions about the world, to the online media Konbini with Small Talk, a podcast in which he interviews celebrities on everything except what they are famous for, and to France’s leading news radio (La question on France Inter).

Sonia Kronlund

Sonia Kronlund is the host and creator of Les Pieds sur terre, a 30-minute daily show of reported stories, with no commentary, which has been on air on French national public radio continuously for 23 straight years. Sometimes referred to as the French This American Life, the show reaches 3,5 million listeners per month and has raised a generation of reporters and injected freshness (in the tone of voice) and inventiveness (in the angles) in public programming. Her film Nothingwood, shot in Afghanistan, was selected in the official competition of the Cannes film festival in 1917. She has just published a novel.

Florence Martin-Kessler is the founder and CEO of Live Magazine, a journalism show in 6 countries and 17 cities in Europe, labelled Press Innovation of the Year by the 2015 Assises Internationales du Journalisme. Since its creation Live Magazine has reached an audience of 70 000 and produced special editions with the Financial Times, Le Monde, Le Temps and Les Echos as well as book publishers and major festivals such as les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles. Live Magazine's government-sponsored outreach and media literacy program trains teachers and vocational-schools students all over France. In 2019, she was listed amongst the Fifty who make Paris by the local newspaper Le Parisien. She was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard in 2010-11 and sits on the boards of the CFJ (French Journalism School) and LASCAM, the French Author's Guild which manages 100 million euros of copyrights for journalists and nonfiction authors.
