Adam Cole

Adam Cole was born in Oregon and graduated from Stanford with a B.S. and M.S. in biology. He got started in journalism at a small but mighty newspaper called The Ferndale Enterprise. During eight years at NPR's science desk, he was heard on the radio and podcasts, and created the YouTube channel Skunk Bear. He wrote and directed 10 episodes of the Netflix series Explained. He lives in Bogotá, Colombia, with his wife and two cats.

Yuri Fernandes

Journalist and screenwriter, Yuri Alves Fernandes is partner and general director of #Colabora, a Brazilian journalism platform focused on sustainability and human rights. He is the author and director of the series LGBT+60: Bodies That Resist, and the winner of several awards, including the Digital Media Awards Americas 2024. An honoree of the Gandhi Communication Award for work focused on promoting a culture of peace, his work and career aim to amplify the voices of social minorities, especially those of the LGBT+ community.
