This presentation takes journalists and analysts through the basic OSINT skills, including mapping and satellite imagery, geolocation, chronolocation, advanced Google search, reverse image search, social media research, archiving and downloading. We’ll include examples from Africa, the Middle East and conflicts around the world.

Costruzione di origine medioevale Palazzo Graziani è stato sottoposto ad interventi che nel corso dei secoli ne hanno modificato ed ampliato la struttura. Situato in Corso Vannucci, l’immobile è sede della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio ed ora anche della nuova Fondazione CARIPERUGIA ARTE. Nel 1895 Annibale Brugnoli realizzò quattro grandi quadri ad olio sulle pareti e quattro grandi dipinti murali sulla volta di quello che successivamente venne chiamato “Salone del Brugnoli”, ancora oggi la sala di maggior pregio dell’intero complesso.

Her work with her Reuters colleagues has received several awards, including a Selden Ring Award, a Gerald Loeb Award, a Scripps Howard Award and an Anthony Shadid Award for Journalism Ethics, among others.

Benjamin Strick is a digital investigator with a background in law, military and technology, specialising in open source intelligence (OSINT), investigations, information warfare, data and maps. He has applied these skills to document human rights abuses, war crimes and influence operations across the world working with international media to create multi-award-winning investigative documentaries and assist civil society. He shares his passion for open source investigations through free YouTube tutorials to democratise these skills. Ben is the Director of Investigations at the Centre for Information Resilience and was previously an open source investigator with BBC Africa Eye, is a Bellingcat contributor and co-founder of Ocelli Project. In 2021 he was awarded Open Source Intelligence Champion of the Year for investment, commitment and contribution to the field.
