In the past few months, many news publishers in the US have announced layoffs. Others have tweaked or abandoned their paywalls and pursued more open models. And yet, beyond the Anglosphere, some news organizations are now sustainable through memberships and subscriptions despite operating in poorer countries, smaller markets or more challenging environments.

The panel will be moderated by Eduardo Suárez, Head of Editorial of the Reuters Institute, who has studied this issue for years and will provide insights from the Institute's research.
