This workshop features fresh case studies and best practices of mobile journalism reports and documentaries from around the globe. Panelists will share tips learned from shooting a documentary with Indigenous partners in the Arctic region of Canada, training reporters in Ukraine to make short documentaries, and the pursuit of making cinematic stories with smartphones in extreme environments. We’ll show some AI tools that can speed video production and we’ll finish with an exclusive screening of a short film from a winner of the recent Mobile Journalism Awards competition.
