The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is proud to announce the second edition of the CIR Open-Source Film Awards, set up to celebrate the use of OSINV techniques in investigative journalism, to encourage innovation and to support a creative community among OSINV-focused journalists. In this session, the finalists in all categories will be reviewed and the winners of the Awards will be announced. Come along to hear from the best in class, be inspired and grab the opportunity to meet with the finalists and the wider CIR Awards team. After the session, join us for drinks at Hotel Priori from 18:30 onwards.

Palazzo dei Priori (Perugia)
Il Palazzo dei Priori, o comunale, è uno dei migliori esempi d'Italia di palazzo pubblico dell'età comunale. Sorge nella centrale Piazza IV Novembre a Perugia, in Umbria. Si estende lungo Corso Vannucci fino a via Boncambi. È ancora oggi sede di parte del Municipio e, al terzo piano, della Galleria nazionale dell'Umbria. Deve il suo nome ai Priori, la massima autorità politica al governo della città in epoca medievale.
Ross Burley
Ross Burley is co-founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Information Resilience (CIR), an independent, non-profit social enterprise dedicated to exposing human rights abuses and war crimes, countering disinformation, and combating online behaviour harmful to women and minorities. CIR implements major programmes in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Ukraine, Sudan and elsewhere to collect, verify and investigate human rights incidents for justice and accountability purposes. CIR also works with civil society actors and journalists around the world to build resilience against malign actors who attack the information environment. Ross has over 20 years of experience in international relations, human rights and the media. Benjamin Strick
Benjamin Strick is a digital investigator with a background in law, military and technology, specialising in open source intelligence (OSINT), investigations, information warfare, data and maps. He has applied these skills to document human rights abuses, war crimes and influence operations across the world working with international media to create multi-award-winning investigative documentaries and assist civil society. He shares his passion for open source investigations through free YouTube tutorials to democratise these skills. Ben is the Director of Investigations at the Centre for Information Resilience and was previously an open source investigator with BBC Africa Eye, is a Bellingcat contributor and co-founder of Ocelli Project. In 2021 he was awarded Open Source Intelligence Champion of the Year for investment, commitment and contribution to the field.
